Your store must be Health Mart signage compliant to participate in this program. The LED signage kit, which meets the minimum signage requirement, can be ordered through Interior Signage and Décor. You can use your store décor funds to order the kit. If you don’t have any store décor allowance left, the kit will cost $275.
Amazon is focused on efficiency and customer service. Update your store’s alternative store hours at least 48 hours in advance, if you are not available to receive a delivery or to give a customer their package. Inconsistent operation of this program (including late scans) could result in removal from the program.
Yes, you would be responsible (liable) for packages while they are in your possession.

Based on Amazon data, current estimates across all stores indicate an average of 200 packages per month. Your store’s volume will depend on your store hours, space for storage, and traffic around your location. In pilot stores, we saw an average of 7–10 packages per week. It is anticipated that the package volume will grow with consumer program adoption.
Carriers are informed of your open hours and will limit deliveries to that time. Generally, you will receive packages from your normal carriers: UPS, USPS and Amazon Logistics. It is possible that you will receive packages from multiple carriers at multiple times in a day. Much depends on the demand in your area.
The program has a weight limitation of 33 pounds and a box size limitation of 2' x 2'.
It’s estimated that 90% of packages are picked up within 72 hours. Any package left over 14 days will automatically be picked up by UPS. No action will be required on the store’s behalf.
The statistics regarding the extra foot traffic and spend associated with the Amazon Hub Counter program were provided by Amazon. Health Mart would like to confirm that our stores see a similar lift. In order to do that, we will use the date/time stamp from the customer pickup scan and compare it to purchases made in your store at roughly the same time. This will be one measure of the success of this program. We have requested a month of data prior to your program participation in order to estimate a baseline in your volume.
This program is exclusively for Health Mart pharmacies. If you terminate while participating, you will be terminated from the program. You will receive any funds earned to that point.
Once the contract is signed, you have a six-month commitment. You must give a 90-day notice to quit the program. You also cannot terminate during the initial term or during the blackout period of November 1 to January 15. Please email pickup@mckesson.com to withdraw from the program. Termination of the Health Mart franchise will automatically terminate your program participation. If you are still in possession of an Amazon scanning device, please recycle the device upon the termination date.
